Hi Michael: Talk is cheap and SUNW was not able to make their demo work in this very important press announcement for Ultra III. The discussion by Ed Zander and by the technology director was very good BUT the simple demo showing how distributed processing over the Net DID NOT WORK! The concept is fine but if SUNW can not demonstrate this simple example, why will our customers buy into it?

I know we are on the edge of the development envelope, but when SUNW is ready to announce this "new paradigm" in computing, our Marketing group MUST test their demos and make sure they work!

Conceptually, SUNW is leading in providing new "net centric" systems. Sunw should continue to lead in the development of these new applications and services (especially with the purchase of Cobalt Inc.), BUT they must be sure to coordinate their future "press" announcements with demos that work!

Quality products, quality services, quality emerging technology, and quality marketing is what I expect of SUNW. Every aspect of my review of SUNW has been top notch and A+. This recent presentation of their new Ultra III product release does disappoint me and I know SUNW could have done a better job.

That said, SUNW has an excellent opportunity going forward! It is up to our management team to capitalize on every potential opportunity. I think they have started this with their purchase of Cobalt Inc. and I look forward to learning more about management's "other" investments that will move SUNW into this "net centric" computing/services environment.
