I work in a technical support department and several colleagues have attempted to install and run Linux. Every time, they wind up formatting and reinstalling Windows. Linux is no easier to use than Windows, support and drivers are lacking, and any popular software cannot be run. No easier to use is an understatement BTW.

Anyone who believes Linux is a Windows Killer is deceiving themselves IMHO. I am not saying it won't have it's place, but it surely will not take over an installed base of 80% unless MSFT & Co fall asleep at the wheel. I know, I know, you believe they already have. Save it for the SUNW thread; SUNW, the only company which can charge 4X it's competitors and still have the image of adding value in the popular press.
