Big Dog... you ask - you receive: RE: Gold/PM Basket...

Here's my "dirty dozen" -

HGMCY GOLD DROOY - all South African Gold mining stocks

FN.TO AEM NEM HM - North American Gold mining stocks - largely unheged, or lightly hedged - making them more leveraged to the upside price of gold.

FCX - gold & copper play; hugely undervalued due to Indonesian political concerns; a classic value play.

SIL PAAS - silver mining co's

SWC - diversifying into a play on palladium, platinum

N - Nickel pureplay, good diversity to gold, silver, copper

...there are other smaller cap plays; but this mix affords some good XAU exposure, a diversity among gold , silver, copper, nickel, palladium, platinum; but is still Gold levered.

It should be noted that Silver; has traditionally outperformed Gold in most PM up cycles... Comex Whse receipts offer an interesting play as well & many Silver players want to own the physical and/or " Comex Whse receiveables" - which is compelling. - in all; the arguement to leverage more weighting to Silver is a realistic one imho; it's just that there is an absence of stable large cap Silver Mining plays with predictable operating histories as can be found in Gold.

I'd play some "physical" Silver as well.

Just my opinions...
