Apple should have started making PCs a long time ago, yes I mean the kind that run Windows. They probably could have made some kickass PCs, though they would have to do something about price. But they do have inovative talent but they really cant gain market share with this operating system.

Apple could correct the Cube problem in short order without changing price and only minor affect on margin, IMO. They should replace the internal DVD with a DVD/CDR device, like Toshiba recently released. And they should replace the processor with the new 7410, perhaps dual processor if the lower power will allow.

<They are too expensive when compared to PC's with rebates of <25% from list price from the
< manufacturer or low rate financing. When the family <budget will be impacted this winter with higher (much higher <oil bills),

I thought the $799 iMac was a response to this problem. I'm not familiar with what's selling below this price in the windoze world, but a small premium for simplicity shouldn't hamper Apple from selling at this price range.

< Consider Armstrong of ATT, who said this January <<<earnings will be met all quarters of this year, only to <<announce a warning 3
<months later.

There's a major diference between two weeks and three months.
