Actually, I believe it went the other way, that LDT started off as a NUMA-style interconnect, but then AMD decided to drive it downward into the mainstream. But either way, it doesn't matter.

Are you sure about the integrated DDR memory controller? I never heard of that, and besides, it doesn't sound practical for Sledgehammer. Better to just resort to LDT to connect Sledgehammer to dedicated memory repeaters.
