The Coppermine is 33% SMALLER with 33% less cache - ERGO - the densities are equivalent - despite AMD's use of the more complicated Local Interconnect.
I see; a cubic inch of water has the same volume as a cubic inch of lead so their densities are equivalent. What one expects from the AMD thread clown.
I repeat the question: do you have any idea on how many transistors there are in Athlon and PIII ?

... Now do you get it?
you obviously don't.

Paul,

Intel uses full custom datapath design, and AMD uses a cell based methodology. Intel's approach uses less area, but AMD's approach is more flexible and allows for shorter development times.
