Druggies will smoke anything. I was surprised that crystal meth, the trailer park drug of choice, was popular in NYC and Silicon Valley. I've known quite a few techies who used drugs, but never formed friendships with any of them. They always seemed rather sad and lacking in confidence. Maybe being part of a dot-com gives them a sense of purpose. The need to feel exhilaration and the willingness to risk everything seem to be common threads in the lives of those who use drugs. JMHO.
