In their bid to lure Windows developers, Oracle Corp. (stock: ORCL), Redwood Shores, Calif., and Sun Microsystems Inc. (stock: SUNW), Palo Alto, Calif., on Monday unveiled Oracle Migration Workbench 1.3. The software seeks to make it easier for developers to move their Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and Sybase Adaptive Server 11.0 running on Windows NT over to the Oracle8i database running on Solaris.
