Snake Eyes: Since you demand an answer from me on the subject of abortion, here goes:

Abortion can be argued many ways: politically, religiously, rationally, emotionally, etc.

Having said that, here is where I stand on abortion:

1. In an ideal world, there would be no need for abortions, because every child would be conceived by married couples who love each other and continue to love each other until "death do us part."

2. We don't live in an ideal world.

3. Should abortion be used as a form of birth control? No.

4. Does the government have a right to tell a woman what she can do with her body? No.

So there you have it. I have struggled with abortion all my life and will continue to struggle with it for the rest of my life. I am in neither camp.

Having said that, let me also offer up something that bugs me.

If a person is "pro-life," then shouldn't that person care just as much about abused and forsaken children between the ages of 1 and 16 as much as the unborn?

Shouldn't a "pro-lifer" also care about the abuse of the elderly in nursing homes as much as the plight of the unborn?

Your turn now to answer.
