I don't have what it takes to determine whether Alcatel is on the cutting edge or not. My guess is that the cutting edge is held by very small companies, not ALA and not CSCO. But of course, CSCO can buy them. -g- ALA doesn't have the market cap of CSCO, but who does? I think it's a very interesting company, that does a lot of interesting things. I'm more familiar with the space division than the optical division, but I was surprised to see Flynn dissing optical since I know they sell it.

I agree.... however, so far that's one more vendor than you've quoted I believe... please tell.
