Here's my take on the Winbond settlement: It's needless to say, positive in a lot of ways: 1) continues to show the strength of the SuperFlash patents.. 2) provides immediate funds in the form of back payments / royalties 3) set up a "mini" new license for some of the older, very low density technology.. 4) perhaps I'm reading into it somewhat, but I felt it was worded in a fashion that suggested a potential new licensing agreement for the recent technology.. As Winbond is a pretty large semi manufacturer in Taiwan with impressive earnings recently, and long term goals to increase it's flash market point towards further upside for SSTI.. We went news deprived for quite some time, and now our thirst is being quenched.. My thought for the night.. the company has already preannounced > 0.35.. and they just released 5 mil more shares to the public.. they've done so well, that they announced fully knowing about the future dilution factor.. so grins.. you could backward calculate the numbers and get further insight into gross profits. :) I'm kinda eager to see what the final tally is, b/c I think we'll still all be bowled over. :) all the best, docpaul
