Well Lets say I first go short 200, sometimes it
can take several minutes to get the shares ( and on
some occasions there are none to get ) at any rate say
I got em, then the QQQ looks like it's going to stop
dropping, and I want to go flat even though I think there
is more down side, so I just buy 200 at market but not to cover.
Now I'm boxed and flat ..if she starts up strong I
may buy another 200..so I'm net 200 long..

When she tops I can sell 400 at market and be back
200 short in a heart beat but this time I did not have
to wait for to see if they had the shares.
-----------

I expect most of the volume of the QQQ is in short selling
and covering & used as a hedged by a lot of mutual funds

It's like in down markets I like to just stay short,
but go flat or long on rallies with a market buy.
-------------

However right now I'm not short..Or long..just waiting.
I've been mostly out of the market for the last month
( at least not trading a lot )..
In fact my trading slowed up and I went mostly cash
back in March. I'm just now beginning to want to get
back in.
