It's taken me a long time to get a good handle on the QQQ, and I'm not much of a stock picker. And that QQQ handle while good is very short..( term ) It's just hard as hell for me to see next week with any deep amount of faith in what I see. UP or DOWN, at least in that respect I know my own limits. ------------- I have a hunch the market is building a good base right now but that hunch is not so strong that I don't want to stay nibble. I'm long ROGSX but not a lot.. WCOM was a fight , buy/sell/short buy until I thought I was going nuts..at any rate I'm into her and now have some covered calls sold way out into 2003 ... Not a get rich plan at all..they can call her at 30 but my cost is now low enough I don't give a shit if she goes to 20 between now and then, however I will shit if she goes lower than 20. :-) ------------ Flipping the QQQ is my main play..it don't look like much and it's really not..but over time it adds up to some pocket change. ------------------- I did a lot of time at the race tracks some years ago, and darn if I don't see a lot of similarities in this market; particularly when it comes to the hype We need to understand we are not playing the stocks, we are playing against the mass of people and their emotions, also some of our competitors are professional sharks; crooked and corrupt to the hilt with the fix in via the richest and most powerful lobby in the world. ---------- My long term call..by con, hook or crook Wall street will eventually get it's hands on S.S. money, and that will send the market to high heaven like never before, then the crash starts just when every one is saying how good an idea taht was. ------------ ------------ Let me talk just a moment about the hype, and the Con (1) the 1929 crash never did recover..tahts pure bull Shit What happened over time is the brokers Re-made the market and called it a recovery..most of the stocks of that day went just plain bust and were swept under the rug.. hell GM was selling at over $500 a share..( has it ever come close to recovery ).. They since learned to re-make the market on a regular basis so as to pull the wool over the eyes of the general public. ----------- It's nothing but a legalized over grown ponzi scam, if a thing gets big enough it is always looked at as respectabe..but her soul is as twisted and malignant as any cancer, we just have a nice dress on her. ---------- One needs to understands all that and then if they still want to play they have no one else to blame if they lose money.
