<"BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED...">

Waste of time my man... I mean look at what we're talking about... CPI, who cares?? Entities indexed to it, supposedly it's a hedge... most at stake?? Senior I guess, well check this out and tell me if ANY investigation would mean beans to seniors given this:

CPI Compontants:

Medical care: 5.768% of the CPI!

Ho ho ho... THAT should be investigated! What a joke... federally subsidised food is 15.315%! Ho ho... wonder why CPI doesn't move??? They raise your taxes [not in CPI for some stupid reason] to keep food prices low and save BILLIONS on payments linked to CPI.

One thing to remember is that active federal employees, and more importantly, federal retirees, have a vested interest in accurate reporting of the CPI. Never forget that. Social Security COLAs are directly linked to the CPI. Increases in the federal pay scale are less directly related to the CPI. Career bureaucrats know to the penny what they are supposed to get from Uncle Sam, and they don't give a rat's ass about who is President, especially when he's about to get hit on the ass with the door as he leaves the establishment.
