If it's not Caruso or the Three Tenors, he won't listen to it. I realize sand wedge has no hope of acquiring good taste but I assume it's not impossible for most of you. The problem with most popular art forms is that the customers simply aren't critical enough. If they became more demanding, the quality would improve. There are some GREAT popular artists such as Doc Severinsen and Winton Marsalis and many more. Probably the popular singer I most respect is Maureen McGovern, a talent with an incredible voice, technique probably unequaled in the realm of popular music, a beautiful sound, and an uncanny ability to interpret. And to a lesser degree, k. d. lang sings at a level most of her so-called peers can only dream of. --Mike Buckley
