OT/dollar.

The main reasons for the dollar going ballistic were the 6 straight rate hikes by the FED. Strong dollar is just what AG likes, lets face it.

I don't subscribe to the idea that the dollar will come crashing down. The only reason the dollar has eased lately was the intervention on behalf of the Euro. I think counting on a crash in the dollar is like counting on a crash in the stock market, sure the possibilities exist but it will take a number of catalysts to set the stage for such a move down. I don't believe these are in place at this time.

We are in a bear market in equities and we could easily see a panic bottom put in during the next few weeks. My initial downside target on the NASDAQ was 3400 and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see us get there or slightly lower this week or next.

If you want a weaker dollar, just ask AG to lower interest rates! Oh, but that would send all the sidelines money into the stock market....we can't have that!

JMO.
