Re: "AMD is making 7.2 million Athlon's this quarter. Can Intel make 72 million PIII's?"

Correction, AMD's stated goal is to produce 7.2 Million processors. It has yet to been seen if they succeeded in producing the 3.6 million they were trying so desperately to manufacture in Q3. In addition, they will need to find customers. Your mantra has changed recently from "AMD can sell all the Athlons they can make" to "AMD can make all the Athlons they can sell".

Can Intel make 72 million PIIIs? I would guess the answer is no for a couple more quarters. Then new fabs will be coming online and maybe they could make 72 million. I hope they need to.
