The Bloomberg Tech 100 includes many highly visible technology leaders such as Yahoo!, At Home, Lycos and Pixar. iBasis was one of only 12 communications technology/service companies named to the Tech 100 list. Bloomberg Tech 100 list members were selected from the company's database of more than 5,000 high technology companies, and were ranked based on year-over-year revenue growth from 1999 to the second quarter of 2000. Companies making the list based on growth criteria were required to have a stock price of at least $5 per share and also had to demonstrate at least 25% sequential sales growth from the first quarter to the second quarter of this year and a minimum of $10 million in 1999 annual sales. Between 1998 and 1999, iBasis experienced dramatic revenue growth with yearly revenues increasing 881% and quarterly revenues climbing 303 % year-over-year from the first quarter of 1999 to the first quarter of 2000. The company also increased its minutes of international voice and fax traffic to a record 156.5 million for 1999 - up 1,194% over total minutes for 1998, and has continued to show increases, most recently with a 40% sequential increase in total voice and fax traffic from the first to the second quarter of 2000. iBasis is the first company to offer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) guaranteeing quality of service for international Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic equal to or better than alternative routes, including the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN). With a global footprint that spans Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and the Americas, The iBasis Network (TM) currently carries Internet voice traffic for more than 100 international carriers, including 11 of the top 12 US international facilities-based carriers and is the world's largest international Cisco Powered Network(TM) (CPN) for Internet telephony. "The iBasis mission is to supply the infrastructure that unifies voice and the Internet," said Ofer Gneezy, president and CEO of iBasis. "We are pleased to be recognized for our remarkable growth by Bloomberg Personal Finance with such a high ranking on its prestigious Tech 100 list."
