Irina, rule #1 on Wall Street is they don't give away free money. The price will split on the payable date. Until then, it will trade with a due bill to make up for it. If you short it now, you will also short a due bill for an equal number of shares. If you hold it past the 13th, you will find yourself short twice as many shares. If you buy back before the 13th, you will buy shares + a due bill.

Regards,

Barb
