Tony,

The AMD thread knows I bought puts, you must have missed my post.

I wonder if the price action on AMD is telling us something here. LSI Logic started going down long before their so so second quarter report, for no apparent reason. The reason came out on earnings day in the form of just a tad light revenues (20 million short). AMD PR is just flakey enough to not say anything. Find out in nine days, right?

I have experiance with this situation. In Q1 I knew people that sold IBM because they were "positive" IBM would miss and they beat by $.06 or something. Same the other way also.

I think AMD's earnings will be great, but I fear that ANALysts will be looking for a reason to make them look bad. The area of concern I see is inventory, not because they can't sell everything, but because infrastructure support was terrible for 75% of the quarter. I'm not counting on the ANALysts to put 2 and 2 together and say this isn't that big a deal and that the situation has greatly improved over the past few months. They'll probably hammer 'em.

Sigh, Naz ramp failed. INTC breaks $40 today and AMD breaks $23 before we're done today.
