Well, the last of those Gigamines disappeared at my local Fry's a week ago, replaced by 3 GHz Athlons.

Wow 3 ghz Athlons, one of those would be nice :).

I've noticed a bit of the same thing myself, although I haven't actually counted the machines. 1ghz Athlon's are definitly more common then 1ghz P3s.
