Donaldm, my Lotus Smart Suite has an alarm as part of its 'organizer'. When the desired time comes [or x minutes before], a small window pops up on the computer screen and any chosen alarm sound plays. The program must be running but can be minimized. I paid about $25 at an online auction for Lotus Smart Suite. It has a word processor, spread sheet and some other stuff as well. A friend bought it just weeks ago for $10 Here is an auction listing it. I'd recommend the millenium edition. search.ebay.com Beats me how they auction it off so cheap. If you check online stores it costs MUCH more. Gottfried
