John, I think the AMDroid gets the "beat Intel at all costs" fever from their leader, Mr. Sanders. His constant namecalling of Intel (e.g. "gorilla") is quite amusing actually. He has often repeated that AMD's goal is 30% share by the end of 2001...I wonder if he'll ever fess up when this doesnt happen, which looks more & more likely since it appears Intel is ready open the floodgates with capacity next year to account for 2-3 years of underspending and AMD's "infrastructure" problem doesnt appear to be getting better any time soon.
