Actually I think the catalyst is more likely to be an outbreak of hostilities in the ME which is sort of the same thing. It's a powder keg over there. When religion is involved all rational thought usually goes right out the window. I know several highly intelligent people who revert to fits of emotion when it comes to religion. They are right and everyone who doesn't agree with them is wrong. Things can only be the way they were raised to believe. Sure am thankful I was raised to think and make decisions for myself, to never just accept the dogma others tried to foist upon me.

Here's another bear post: BEARX, the Prudent Bear Fund, has finally rolled over in its sleep and is giving me the hgihest returns of any single holding. If a general market collapse puts a drag even on oil and gas stocks, this ought to keep me even.

But I would have been much better off to have converted BEARX into things like XTO at the beginning of the year.
