Yes Bosco it was apparent for awhile that NT has evolved in the past few years to allow it to "surround" their customers from the core to the edge and now even to Operational Support.

Sometimes I worry that they may be going too far, too fast and spreading themselves a bit thin but i guess in this day of Internet, end-to-end product/service solutions can give NT a big advantage for the Carriers who need to really focus on what makes them successful and concentrate their resources on MARKETING and CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Gone are the days when PTT/RBOC monopolies can play lipservice to marketing & customer service since they had 100% lock on their customer base. Now if the Carriers don't play the customer interaction game properly -- they are gone (just look at AT&T). So if sales/customer service requires full resource/mgmt attention, what better way to redeploy their resource to those two critical areas and let NT build/MAINTAIN their 99.9999999% (CSCO guys are going to hate this line!) reliability.

Intriguing approach and one that may set a trend where NT approaches the Carrier as more than a Builder but almost as an equal partner..... a seriously abused word but one that perhaps applies better in this deal than lot of other situations.
