I haven't a clue at this point. We'll just have to wait and see."

Actually they're probably pretty certain. They can now "edit" or rewire parts with a focused ion beam "FIB" and tryout their fix before committing to new silicon. That way they can do their fix in a top metal layer and only need a minimal set of mask changes. They can even run their "fixed part" through system validation before getting their new silicon.
