Dear Ish: There are Jeep Jamborees all over the country. See your local dealer for information on getting the free brochure which describes all the trails. You live in an area close to many. As to scratches, its possible. I got a bunch of those branch type things which I was able to rub out, but the problem at least where I went was the trails are cleared by Wranglers and they are a bit narrower so sometimes branches sweep up against the side of Grands. However, there are a number of SENIOR CITIZENS that participate. One of my best friends is a fellow named Bill Austin and he was 72 last year, he and his wife have been to more Jamborees then any other person. 42 Jamborees as of beginning of LAST YEAR.
My service experiences were in the early to mid 60's. I know they burned gas when I was doing it but I seem to recall even then they could if necessary burn diesel but dont quote me. Getting a little fuzzy anymore. haha. We did though do all the FUN THINGS you mentioned. JDN
