The fundamentals for a gold rally are muddled right now. Central banks have lots they can sell. OTOH, if you are saying what I think you are, with the dollar...you are looking for increased inflationary pressures and aren't quite into the slowdown scenario yet?

If you want to be defensive, buy some energy related and/or health-care stocks. It is not too late in the cycle yet ... It is not sure that we are in a long-term bear market. We need a recession first.
