Gottfried, Sorry for the confusion. This is the new MSN Explorer browser, 6.00.0009.1102 (it says). No menu bar - FILE EDIT VIEW etc This was introduced to the thread by Ed Forrest & I decided to try it. What happens is you can get to a clear window (without lhs fixed) with a keyboard command. But the original window (with a minimal toolbar) has to be placed on the task bar - so you can rustle up your buddies to talk to - & other "conveniences". So I doubt it can be eliminated? The clear window has only a slim address bar with GO STOP PRINT FAVORITES & adrop-down for edit & refresh, lined up next to it. So you get more on the monitor like the fullscreen on IE5x, but with more control. d.
