Like the commercial says, "They're out there."

Another reason I don't trust my fellow man any further than I can throw him.

Which brings up a good point, namely,
the enemy is us.
Our opponent in this complex game is not the market,
it is the "other" trader. When we say, "I got hammered by the market today"
or "I hate trading these high fliers" or The market has
no mercy", we are attempting to insulate our mind from the
truth; from the reality that it is not the market that took our money but, in fact, another trader.
We never lose money to the market.
We lose it to other traders.
The market is merely the playing field. No one ever beats the field.
And I try to keep in mind that old saying - There are old
traders and there are bold traders... but there are no
bold, old traders.
