And I don't care what kind of weapon they use. A gun is a tool, no more, or no less deady than a butcher knife or large automobile, if each are used to deliberately kill or maim others. The biggest problem with weapons Stephen is that there was a time when children were taught proper respect for the use of firearms for hunting. They were taught not to touch them, on pain of being whipped within an inch of their lives. We had weapons in our home when I was a kid. My father would take me out hunting from time to time and when I was older, he would let me borrow his nice 25-06 with the 12x redfield scope and I would out and deplete the jackrabbit and coyote population in our county. And from time to time we'd go down and bag our limit of ducks.... And my wife is a great shot as well... We both regularly qualified expert with "automatics", both pistol and those nasty M-16 assault weapons you liberals decrie.. Neither of us suffer from any insatiable compulsion to carry one around with us doing drive-bys or holding up liquor stores. Why should I feel some sort of compassion for those who do? Personally, I'm all for MANDATING THAT EVERYONE own, possess, and be trained and qualified in the use of, a firearm. With such a knowledge that anyone might be packing the means of their destruction, I tend to believe that people, as well as potential criminals, will be a whole lot nicer to each other toward one another. Do yourselves a favor if you want sound firearm policies... Join the NRA and support their Eddie Eagle training program.nrahq.org nrahq.org nrahq.org nrahq.org And watch how the liberals are now screaming that the NRA is now an "evil organization".. They are getting worried because NRA membership is increasing astronomically.nralive.com Regards, Ron
