I was interviewing a witness recently for a criminal case I am handling, I represent the girlfriend of a rapper who was busted for possession, and was talking to the boyfriend, who was busted after an informant ratted him out. He mentioned how one of the things he liked to do was shake down people at raves and make them give him their Ecstasy. I suggested that maybe one of those people might have been the one who ratted on him ("what goes around, comes around"). He said, no, none of those people knew his real name. I mean, huh? How much trouble would it be to find out? But I don't think too much brains is his problem. Anyway, he lives only a few miles away, and went to the same high school as my kids. Sigh.
