jmac, if we hit 3400 they will call for 2800 @ 2800 they will call for 2500. FUD, FUD and FUD. On the other hand if we hit 4500...5000, 5000...6000. We are in a trading range and if you keep 1/2 covered at the money 1 month out she will be just fine. Take what the Lord gives you and insure what he may take away.

You may be right but just go to bed tonight thinking of one thing. THIS MARKET WILL MOVE WHEN THE MAJOR HOUSES DECIDE THEY WANT IT TO.

I am not worried in the least about this market. People today tend to live in the moment and I am convinced it is partly because of the information age that we live in. The media basically has to accentuate the negative in order to sell more of whatever and there is just no escaping this negative reporting. That is the beauty of the HOUSES - they are your giver and taker in this market that you reside in.

Selah,

jmac -
"just wait for the earnings or another month or the end of October or mid-November" doesn't seem to me to take into accout that the leaders have broken. Indeed on of the big stareters of the whole crash this year was MSFT being broken by the GS analyst and then Mr Klein. MSFT got a one two and those two blows effectively smashed it. The rest of the market followed.

Its not over. Where was the NAZ last October? THere is no chance of this stoppping till we get below that number. Some people thought that was overpriced at the timme let alone anything above 3,000.

Mr G is getting what he wanted with the able assistance of Mr Klein and the guy at GS who whacked MSFT. Since that time whacking good companies has been a sort of sport sometimes carried out by analysts and sometimes byu journalists especially on the weekend.

Stock by stock and industry bu industry sooner or later they get around to everyone except the oil industry.

Look they whacked:-

Semis
Telecom operators
Telecom suppliers
CLECS
INTC
Networks
BtoB
Fibre Optics ( the latest)

Its easy in bear market like this to figure out a high P/E company and whack it. Next day down it goes. Yesterday we had one analyst whack a stock and nine others didn't. Stock still slumped.

APPL halved in value....it wouldn't have droppped as much if they announced they were bust! And did AAPL announce a loss? No all they said was that sales had slowed a little and eanings would grow less. Not that earnings would fall mind you. AAPL is profitable and a great company and it fell further yesterday.

The golden market has finished. If this carries on another week then most people will be out of the NAZ. When she's roaring its great but when shes dropping its the riskiest place on the planet and you can feel the rush for the doors.

Best,

L
