Greg you are viewing digital, fiber, as the the revolution of communication. It is easy to understand why as now the world seems much smaller than it did. Examples are numerous but it is in simple terms that advantage of being able to get the best product be it cost, quality or unique you are after, the corner supplier is now located on the four corners of the earth. Your belief when broadband is as common as a faucet boils down to in numerous countries where there are no faucets.

Frank discusses problems in the last mile thread. To me it is clear as non directional as Athm appears to be so is the framework in the technology we are trying to implement world wide. The frame work is bits and pieces attached to, and different methods so broadband could very well be wireless. The problem is so simple, when you built the railways here, the engines you knew all ran on tracks. About the only thing we do know for sure is we are trying to connect. It makes it risky money wise.

We go to need which amounts to if you live in the Philippines and don't have a roof for the rainy season you don't need broadband, but a roof.
