No. MSFT just basically became the voting shareholders though (assuming that the convertable corporate debt shares swing toward the single biggest block, now MSFT). --- I think I get this from the MSFT perspective. I'm not quite sure I do from Corel's (except for the obviou$). --- MS wants to drive their 'open' (nyuk nyuk) XML standard. WordPerfect is prettty advanced with the XML stuff, and perhaps even a little more advanced with a distributed model. They want to control the XML rules. --- It's got absolutely nothing to do with Linux (basically). --- This thing reads exactly like the investment in AAPL awhile back. Antitrust is incidental. It's about setting up a chokepoint (typical MS) and adding to the XML/distributed effort. Basically, it's about catching up to StarOffice. Cowpland has been wanting to cozy up with MS though for awhile. You could tell from things hes said and not said here and there over the past year or so. (IMO) -JCJ Edit: Apparently they're non-voting shares.
