Agreement further expands Alcatel?s channel strategies in the North

Quebec and Calabasas, Calif. - Oct. 3, 2000 - Alcatel (NYSE: ALA) and

Alcatel?s OmniPCX 4400 IP-based PBX and its complete line of enterprise

Quebec and Ottawa, to significantly expand its portfolio of products for

In addition to the Alcatel OmniPCX 4400 - Alcatel?s next generation
IP-based voice PBX, Excel Telecom will sell and support Alcatel?s entire

while allowing enterprises to migrate to an IP-based voice and data

Looking a little brigher here today Zbyslaw. Hope the trend continues tomorrow. Would sure like to see this stock back over 70.
