The Wireless Planning Workshops are scheduled to kick-off in New York later this month. Mobile's newest publication -- M-Business magazine from CMP Media Inc., will present an overview of the industry.

``As mobility becomes a key requirement in today's enterprise, key decision-makers need to gather information about how wireless technology will meet their specific needs and improve their bottom line,'' said Eric V. Schultz, chairman and CEO of Wireless Knowledge.

``Our Wireless Planning Workshops educate business users on wireless issues, providing a beginning point for enterprises to strategize about wireless deployment.''

The two-day workshops will provide enterprise business and technical decision-makers with the opportunity to learn more about how wireless technology can be leveraged to increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.

Sessions will cover the basics of wireless technology, identifying individual enterprise needs, solutions and development requirements. They will also focus on providing wireless and mobility industry background, overviews of market trends, case studies of how businesses are currently using wireless technology, and technical details regarding wireless implementation.

``With more and more businesses going mobile, the best way to get ahead of the curve is to learn about the latest wireless solutions for enterprises,'' said Jay Highley, vice president, business marketing, Sprint PCS.

``With the recent launch of the Sprint PCS Wireless Web for Business, we now offer an entire suite of products and services to help businesses enhance productivity, reduce costs and respond to customers more efficiently. These workshops will give business leaders a head start toward incorporating these relevant wireless solutions into strategic business plans.''

The Fall 2000 Wireless Planning Workshop schedule is as follows:

-- New York Oct. 26-27
-- Washington D.C. Nov. 1-2
-- Atlanta Nov. 8-9
