Dear Ish: Your dealer doesnt know a damn thing about car finishes then. Use ONLY Meguaires products. In particular I recommend the Gold Class Line for its incredible reflective qualities. However the Medallion gives the ultimate protection.
If your Jeep is brand new and no swirls etc just start right out with Gold Class Wax. If you have swirls or small marks in the clearcoat use Gold Class Swirl Reducer FIRST, if that doesnt work use Gold Class Body Scrub. If that doesnt work see an expert as its too dangerous for you to do more then that. Yes, NEVER use rubbing compounds of any kind. Always start with the most mild product (swirl reducer). As for the Wax I mentioned it has no polish or compound of anykind in it only pure wax. BUT if you ignore your jeep and put NOTHING on it you will be very sorry. There has to be a protective coating put on. Go to the Meguaires web site or call them (phone number is on any bottle of their product) they will tell you exactly what to use for your vehicle. They are the best. JDN
