omething not right...As mentioned previously, there seems to be a missing piece...Heard Maria this AM talking about August semiconductor numbers being at all time highs...Hardly a "bearish" environment from a fundamental perspective,

True Niceguy, but bear markets are more technical events then fundimental events. If the stock market goes down enough for long enough you have a bear market even if many of the companies are raking in money hand over fist.

If AMDs downtrend continues even with a good quarter for EPS, we could be heading towards a P/E lower then GMs. I don't think this will happen (and I have my money bet that it won't), but who knows. People just seem scared and they sell for any reason real or imagined.

If I had the cash/margin I might think about selling some out of the money AMD puts. If I got put the stock it would be really cheap, and if they expire (which would be more likey) I would make a short term profit. Unfortunately I am
out of money to invest right now. Before when I was out I could just invest my next paycheck, but having to pay a morgage and buy furnature for my house changes that. I have this horrible feeling that AMD will wait until my Jan options expire and then take off... (at least I have 325 shares and 2 '03 25 calls).
