I don't believe it would be the 1/12 number. They could have given us 1 share for every 24 we owned and AV would trade in the high 30s or 1 for every 6 and AV would trade in the single digits. In any of those cases the same value would have been taken out of lucent. What if they gave one share of AV for every one share of Lucent? My cost basis for LU would not be 0.
