lurqer, My opinion is that the bear market will end when companies are more fairly valued. Perhaps I am wrong, but since we are not there yet, it is as good a guess as any. As was just pointed out, companies like QCOM that are trading nearly in line with growth are better investments than the likes of JDSU right now.

On a separate note, it was interesting to hear Chambers this morning saying the same thing that I have been saying regarding spending for optical networking and last mile broadband access this morning. Several companies in that space have been slaughtered and will present themselves as good investments when we finally reach peak volatility. tp
