m, i have owned stock in this sector since 1993, but am out now. It's not true that the final dip occurs this quickly. In the past AMAT has taken at least 6-12 months to find its footing once the bottom has been touched. look at 97-98. if it follows that pattern, it will bounce soon, maybe to the 80's, but collapse again all the way to the low 30's and then get stuck there for months.

I think its ridiculous that it behaves this way but it has in the past.
