Jim,

The fed officially did away with their bias. The bias is now more of an interpretation of their statements. If the fed says that they are still vigilant wrt inflation like they did the last time then the bias is still there. On the other hand if they say something like inflation is contained and risks have abated etc then they are implying a neutral stance.

Looks like the NAZ went south right after the FOMC announcement (at 2:15 PM)?

Maybe the NAZ Casino guys were expecting the FED to remove the bias...

Greenspan is still in the data-gathering mode...(IMHO)
