FWIW, I think a rally sparked by a "neutral" announcement would likely stick.

And my banking friends tell me that the fed has been pumping money into the economy for awhile now to stave off a recession. An interest rate move or change to neutral would be a signal that such re-liquification will continue. A little inflation never hurt anyone. Its time to fess up and admit they overshot a bit or that oil/euro was taken into account.
Joe, Am excitedly waiting for 2:15. Everbody except the two of us thinks nothing will change. I was only hoping for a hint of change. Like maybe we will go neutral sooner rather than later.
In 1998 it was asia and all bad earnings were blamed on asia whether true or not as later discovered. Now the Steve Getajobs of this world at apple, xerox, kodak, would have us all believe that europe etc. is the problem not the dinosaur nature of their companies and/or industries.
