so, in other words, it's not what Dell does as a company that matters most. it's more what Michael Dell says or doesn't say to the handholders on WallStreet.

i bet right this very moment that Compaq's CEO is NOW going through MichaelDell's trash in order to plan his next venture

trash hunting = superior business planning (just ask Ellis)

it's all in how you say it. it's not "trash hunting", it's "strategic competitive planning"

Can you imagine what the market would think of MD if he were out doing strategic competitive planning by rummaging through Compaq's trash bins? how many down points would "they" award Dell for this behavior?
