Nope. Didn't know FGX earned .03/share. Pretty darn good I would say. I knew there was a reason I was holding this stock!

See the big 50k block they are trying to scare everybody with at 6.20??<grin> still a big block on the bid too.

When we get news on marlin, assuming it will be positive, hopefully we will see some movement from the trading range we have been stuck in. time is getting close for a PR.

Press Release
Francisco Gold Corp - Marlin Drilling Leads To A Major New Gold - Silver Discovery In Western Guatemala
VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 2000--Francisco Gold Corp. (CDNX:FGX. - news) is pleased to report the results from the initial diamond drilling program on its recently acquired Marlin gold-silver property located in western Guatemala.

Fifteen holes totaling 1429 meters were drilled along a 300 metre strike length to test mineralization across a portion of the Main Zone and its eastern extension under post-mineral cover. Thirteen holes cut significant gold-silver mineralization.

Marlin is a volcanic hosted, low sulphidation epithermal gold-silver system. The initial drilling has identified a near surface, oxidized, mineralized horizon over 300 meters in length, 175 meters wide, ranging in thickness from 10 to 80 meters. The mineralized zone strikes roughly east to west and dips gently south. To the south, towards the Don Pancho-Don Tello structural corridor, the grade and thickness of mineralization increases suggesting proximity to a main feeder zone. The deposit is open to the east and west along strike and to the south.

Drill holes were sampled in 1.5 meter intervals and assayed by Rocky Mountain Geochemical's laboratory in Reno, Nevada. Check assays are being conducted by Chemex Labs in Vancouver, B.C. The significant results of the drift program are provided below. A drill plan location map is available upon request from the Company.

The first five drill holes tested a portion of the Main Zone outlined by previous trenching, Drill holes 6 through 14 were collared along strike to the east and confirmed that mineralization continues under the post mineral cover. Gold-silver mineralization is mainly associated with quartz stock-work veining and quartz veins that are strongly oxidized, fractured and faulted. High grade mineralization with near bonanza grades is associated with more massive, bladed lattice texture quartz veins (M-03 and M-04).

Sample recovery in the first six holes using conventional HQ core drilling was poor. The recovery problems were due to extreme fracturing of the host rocks with mineralization occuring as free gold. A triple tube (HQ3) core barrel method was subsequently implemented and this technique dramatically improved the core recovery. For comparative analysis, a twin hole (M-02A) was drilled to check M-02. A sampling comparison between the two holes is provided below and demonstrates an 82% increase in the gold grade.

M-02A 0 63 63 4.42 37.9 5.11

In addition, a trench was dug parallel to the strike of M-01 and channel samples were out following the dip of the hole in order to ``twin'' the first 7.5 meters. The assay comparisons set out below again suggests that the poor core recoveries encountered in the first six holes led to significantly lower gold grades. To achieve a better estimation of the overall grade of the mineralization, an underground decline is being considered to collect more representative bulk samples.

Outside the trench tested area, drilling has shown that high grade mineralization is present below argillically altered pre-mineral andesitic agglomerates which exhibit weak to non-existent geochemical surface expression. Argillically altered rocks are widespread around Marlin and within the immediate area of the Main Zone, the potential lateral extent yet to be tested is open for more than 500 meters west of hole 41 and 92 and for over 400 meters east-southeast of hole #13.

In addition the Los Cochis area, situated 600 meters to the west-northwest, has very similar characteristics to the Main Zone. A weakly mineralized argillic cap appears to overlie gold-silver mineralization for over 400 meters on its western flank. Moreover, the. area between the Main Zone and Los Cochis displays the favorable structural and lithologic characteristics that are now known to host gold-silver mineralization. Drilling is scheduled to resume again in November to test the lateral extent of mineralization in the Main Zone and higher grade feeders to the south.

Preliminary metallurgical testing shows that Marlin is amenable to standard cyanidation treatment with recoveries over 90% for gold and 85% for silver. Additional tests are planned to further determine the metallurgical characteristics and optimum recovery methods.

Overall, Francisco believes that Marlin has the potential to develop into a large scale, high grade, open-pitable gold deposit. Moreover, Francisco continues to evaluate its land position which covers over 3,500 square kilometres of highly prospective ground along a major structural trend in western Guatemala.

Francisco is an exploration company focused on the discovery and development of major gold deposits in Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador. The Company's El Sauzal Project in Mexico has gold reserves of 2.03 million ounces at a grade of 3.01 g/t within a resource of 3.20 million ounces. Francisco is well-financed with a treasury of over $34 million.
