Yaacov - That's disgusting. See, this is why you can't get a visa... <g> --- Say, with regard to oily recessions. I have an observation. --- Our Senator (Barbara Boxer) woke up cranky a short time back and decided to go after oil co. 'zone' pricing. She lives in the same 'zone' as I do and we pay typically 5% more (10 cents) than the adjacent counties. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. So, suddenly she says the letters "FTC" and bam! our gas price is suddenly a dime *cheaper than the adjacent counties. --- News item: Opecians in Venezuela agree to drop crude prices *if the US agrees to drop gas taxes. Boy, that sounds familiar. That sounds like it's coming right out of the oil lobby's playbook. I'm almost surprised that they did't mention "Alaskan wilderness". I guess the Venezuelans drew the line there. --- My point is, Chevron, et al, is the puppeteer here. -JCJ
