t2,
I think we're getting close to a bottom because it's getting too easy on the short side. I wouldn't be surprised if we have one more short term bloodbath on the expensive tech stocks. The fastest moves often occur at the end of the trend, so it wouldn't bother me to see some large declines because I think they'll reverse.

Perception tends to vacillate from "we're going into a recession and these companies won't be able to grow as fast" to "we are at the dawn of a major telecom buildout that won't slow for many many years". Eventually, people will get excited about broadband again and the stocks will move fast. At least I hope so :-)

I'm concentrating on GLW, NT, CSCO, JDSU and CIEN. Good luck.

Ross

T2... Glad to hear Meeks is focusing on the same stocks I own. Also I do believe the buildout won't be affected by economic slowdown or oil. That's all to the good since all my holdings are practically a Fiber Optic Mutual Fund!...However the nasdaq seems to be affecting my jdsu, csco, sdli, glw, cien, nt...And I thought today's action was waaaay overdone after Fed announcement. Especially in view of the relatively good economic numbers...what is going on? -- and do we really have to retrace to 3100?? I'm not much of a TA person...Best, Poettrader
