You say that PCLN does nothing its suppliers can't do, well, AMZN does nothing that its suppliers can't do. We can say the same thing for Coca Cola, too. The fact is they can't do what PCLN is doing because they would have to pay tens of millions just to get a service off the ground. They would then have a few hundred customers: the people who developed it. I think it's safe to say you don't really understand what's involved here, not that anybody has a complete grasp of it.

There's more going on here than just selling inventory. They have built up an infrastructure and they have tons of web traffic coming their way. Add to that almost $200,000,000 in cold hard cash and you can see that short sellers (who own 20% of the stock) will have to buy and cover at some point. I would bet dollars to donuts that tomorrow you'll see some major short covering and a solid bounce in the stock.
