There is no way I could, in good conscience, vote for either of these two clowns. But here is something to think about: After the election, the Republicans will still have a majority in the Senate, and almost certainly also in the House. A vote for Gore could be seen as a vote for continued partisan gridlock and a failure to see either of their boneheaded schemes actually implemented in legislation. Also remember, all Supreme Court nominees must be approved by a Republican Senate. Perhaps now is a time for legislative inertia preservation, just as it may be a time for careful capital preservation.
